FABLES BOOK CLUB
LAST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
TUNBRIDGE WELLS - 7:30PM
Bring a friend, the more the merrier (feel free to get them to email us and we'll add them to our lists!)
We'll usually send out details via our newsletter / Mailchimp - if you email us here, we’ll add you to the list and keep you updated!
Otherwise, pick up a copy of this months book and we’ll see you at our next meet!
November’s Book: ‘The Labyrinth House Murders’ by Yukito Ayatsuji (available in Waterstones, Tunbridge Wells)
The whole idea is ultimately to get together to discuss a great read over a great drink and have a chat about it. A chance to meet new people, or even catch up with old friends too. Alongside this, as a member of the Fables group we'll also be offering all attendees £5 Hot Dogs and £5 Toasties for the night, just mention you're here for Fugs Fables and it will be done! And everything else will be explained or worked through on the night - it's your club, so feel free to throw in ideas and your thoughts on how it works each month!
FAQ:
When will it happen: The last Tuesday of the month, 7:30pm, in Tunbridge Wells. A table will be reserved for the group.
When can we get £6 Hot Dogs & Toasties: From 6pm - 10pm.
What if I hate the book? Don't read it, that's cool, skip the month!
Where should we buy the book? We'll be making sure that the book can be purchased locally - as a high street business we really believe it's important to support other high street businesses - so we hope you'll be able to support a local business with your purchase too over buying it online! (But we understand if you can't for time reasons etc get into town, so do whatever works for you!)
Do I need to attend each month? Absolutely not, this is a casual, relaxed get together, no pressure!
Can we pick a book? Absolutely - the whole thing is about community and sharing ideas, so if you've something you'd like to share or get the group to read, feel free to suggest it for the next month!
What's excluded? Not a lot but let's just lay down some boundaries here. Anything that is obviously extremist, racist, homophobic or encourages anything that is oppressive on any minority group won't be tolerated, neither will any attitudes or behaviour we deem offensive. Basically, be nice, be cool (we're not expecting anything else but these days, you have to spell it out sometimes just incase!)
